Synopsis
Set between 1968 and 1991, the story revolves around Ramappa Rao Bahadur, an aristocrat who lives in a sprawling mansion but remains imprisoned by a haunting doubt that has tormented him since the birth and subsequent death of his younger son, Kusumaparaju. Consumed by guilt over the tragedy, Ramappa gradually loses touch with reality, leading those around him to believe that he has gone insane. Meanwhile, his wife Renuka, devastated by their son’s death, has confined herself to her room for years, refusing to step outside. Ramappa’s only source of support is his close friend and family doctor, Narayanachari, who believes there is a way to finally unravel the mystery that has consumed him. What is the lingering doubt that continues to haunt Ramappa? Will he finally discover the truth, or is reality far more complicated than it appears?
